Schools
School is a major part of children’s lives as they grow. Time spent and relationships forged during school years often go a long way. Along with friendships and play, at times troublesome and painful experiences also contribute to children’s sense of self and maturation. Different kinds of experiences can impact the mind of a child, affecting their mental wellbeing, beginning as early as kindergarten or older years. Our research tells us that all mental health issues of a serious nature start as minor problems in school-going years.
Making schools a safe and enjoyable space is important to ensure relatively stable and well-adjusted individuals leaving school. We are focused on improving wellbeing and learning outcomes in schools, as part of an overall vision for population mental health. In recognition of the same being a research-led organization we are developing interventions at the school level, a majority based on direct ground research. It is showing us the path for devising newer interventions, strategies and support systems to respond to the myriad requirements of children and adults in schools.
Based on these we offer training, seminars, lectures and workshops to children, parents, teachers and school principals in the wider community of school stakeholders. Please check our services.
